Introduction
At the World Summit of September 2005, world leaders committed to adopt, by 2006, and implement comprehensive national development strategies to achieve the internationally agreed development goals and objectives, including the Millennium Development Goals. Such “MDG-based development strategies” were the first key recommendation of Investing in Development.
The UN Millennium Project worked extensively with countries already engaged in preparing MDG-based national development strategies. Below are hands-on resources to support countries in operationalizing the Millennium Development Goals.
